SAHRR - Round 6

Round 6 was a great challenge, and very different!  Emily at the Darling Dogwood chose the Kite unit, a bit of a challenge for sure! (Corner Beam is the Studio 180 tool to make it.)  I decided to use the unit to make this block, designed using EQ8.  This is a 5 inch block, so the kite units are 2 inches finished.

I plan on making 12 of these for my final row.  I only have one so far, but the good news is that I did find my Corner Beam tool!  I did have to look up the YouTube video to remember how to use it, though!  I was pleased at how nicely my block finished up!

So here is what I envision my top to finish.  I think it will be pretty!  I might decide to add more pink, whether that might be another small border, or perhaps just the binding?  We'll see.

Now we have about a month to finish this up for the final link up post.  I think that's pretty do-able, but then again, I am always an optimist!

Time to go check out what everyone else did for their border, I haven't even peeked yet!

What a gorgeous quilt you are making! I love your interpretation of the kite block, a little work, but so worth it!
