Project Quilting - Follow Your Arrow

I really had a good time with this challenge.  Since the arrow part of the challenge was easy to decide I  thought it would be fun to give myself an additional challenge and see what I could come up with using this basket of random scrappiness!

I found some fabric I liked for my little project and got to work!  I was having so much fun I didn't take any pictures till I was done.  I guess I was in the zone!

I started out with a six inch London Crossroads Block and thought it needed a little extra, so I added the flying geese using the scraps from my scraps!

The back and binding also came from the scrap bin!  That was a fun idea, I'll have to do it more often!

I did some simple outline quilting, and I was finished.  I love it!  Can't wait for the final challenge, I have really enjoyed this season and making these fun projects, exploring some different ideas and using what I have to make something I enjoy!

The rest of my Saturday I spent working on our latest house project.  I finished pulling the wallpaper down in the bathroom.  I was so tired after that I forgot to write this post!  Now we have sprung ahead, and I'm racing the clock, so I better link up!

Fabrics are from Island Batik, the batting is Hobbs Natural cotton.  My mug rug is 6 x 8 inches, and it was made here in Coos Bay, OR!
