Gradient Geese - Project Quilting 16.2

It was a busy week, but I managed to make a little quilt for the Project Quilting challenge this week!  When I read the challenge guideline my mind lit up with an idea for using some triangles I had left over from making my quilted coat in 2023.  They were in a nice range of teals and blues, perfect for making a gradient!  All I needed to do was cut triangles for the flying geese, so I pulled out the Go! cutter again to make quick work of that.

After that it was an easy job to sew up flying geese units.  I arranged them in rows, then sewed them together to make a square.  I found the perfect variegated thread to go with the colors in the quilt in my stash of Aurifil!

A little quilting, a bit of binding and my quilt is finished!  It's just a 12 inch square, but I love the colors!

I used the same fabric for the backing and the binding - it's Morning Glory from Island Batik (and the rest of the fabrics are as well!)

I think I'll call this project Gradient Geese!  It was made here in Coos Bay Oregon and measures 12 1/2 x 12 1/2 inches.

Linking up with Project Quilting for my finish!
