Road Trip Quilt Along Day 51 - A family lunch, Cactus Pot Block

 Today's block is a variation of a basket block - Cactus Pot.

I used green fabric for the cactus in all three of my blocks!

We said goodbye to Anaheim and headed for the San Fernando valley to have lunch with family!

My husband's brother, and their cousins!

More cousins - it was fun to get together.  It's been way too long!

After that we drove to our next hotel and had a relaxing evening.

Six inch version.

The nine inch block.  Make sure you get those triangle points sticking up like cactus spines!  I think this is a really cute variation on a basket block, and a good addition to your block library.
