Back Making Work

Today was a day to get some quilt backs made so that I can move some projects along - not much to show you, especially since two of them are secret sewing projects!  But I can show you the new top I got finished over the weekend:

Isn't it pretty?  This is a strip pack I received in my last Island Batik Ambassador box.  When I saw it, I knew that I needed to make a new Lovers Kiss sample!  Since today is this line's featured day on the blog hop, I figured I would share how it looks in my pattern.  I love the pretty blues and greens in this collection.  The center squares are made with Ice, and the green border and binding are Spinach.  It's going to be a great quilt when it's done!  Check out the Island Batik blog hop posts to see more ideas of how you could use these lovely fabrics as well as the Studio 180 designs rulers.

Sandra Starley, Textile Time Travels

I also spent some time doing a bit of stitching on Blue Skies

And I got my sewing room tidied up and hung some quilts to prepare for my visit with the Patchwork Posse Patchworkers Plus+ group tomorrow!  I was so happy with the view I had to take a selfie to celebrate!

I thought it was fun that you can see Lovers Kiss in the mirror's reflection!  Messy hair and sweatshirt, but that's the way I sew most of the time, so it's true to life.  I'll have to take some pictures later and show you how I hung those quilts in front of my closet!  I'm really happy with the way they look and might just keep them there for now!

Hope you had a great Monday, too!  This is going to be a crazy week, so many things going on.  I was glad I had time to relax and sew a bit today.  Might not be much sewing the rest of the week, but we'll see!
