June Mini Madness: Block 16 Maple Leaf

Today's block is a Maple Leaf block!  Once again we are using four half square triangles and plain squares to make this block.

Here are your cutting directions:  

For a 3 inch block, cut two 1 7/8 inch squares (cut in half diagonally) and three 1 ½ squares of blue.  Cut two 1 7/8 inch squares (cut in half diagonally) and two 1 ½ squares of background.

For a 6 inch block, cut two 2 7/8 inch squares (cut in half diagonally) and three 2 ½ squares of blue.  Cut two 2 7/8 inch squares (cut in half diagonally) and two 2 ½ squares of background.

Sew four 1 ½ inch (2 ½ inch for 6 inch blocks) half square triangle units with blue/white triangles.  Arrange in a nine patch as shown and sew together.

And now block 16 is finished!
