May goals and Projects

Time to jump into May with some goals and let you know what's coming up this month, as well as check in for my PHD in 2020 with Quilting Gail!

First of all, I want to set my One Monthly Goal - which will once again by my UFO challenge for the month.  This month I'll be working on getting my original Stepping Stones Sampler Quilt finished.  I call this one Chicken Salad (named for the border fabric).  I made a good start on it and got it basted this weekend!  Linking up with  Elm Street quilts for the monthly check in - feel free to join in with your own goal!

It feels good to finally get this one finished, it's been sitting for a long time, waiting to be completed.

This month I have a couple of shop samples to finish, this one is partially quilted.
It is my Cliff Dreams pattern using Mesa Verde fabrics from Island Batik.  I'm loving it!  Just need to quilt the setting triangles and outer border and it will be ready to go to Threads That Bind.  Sadly, all the shows are cancelled for the summer, so it won't get to travel, so we'll have to work on promoting on facebook and social media to sell the kits.

I have the first of two custom memory quilts using baby quilts ready for quilting.  And I need to sneak in a t-shirt quilt for a college graduation.

Finally we are starting The Ultimate Home Decor blog hop with Island Batik tomorrow!  I'm excited to see what all the ambassadors have made for their projects!
Here are our scheduled bloggers and fabric lines for this week:
May 4:
May 5:
May 6:
May 7:
May 8:

Make sure you pay them all a visit - you'll find lots of home decor inspiration, and giveaways, too!
Plus, Island Batik is giving away a great prize each week as well.

I got a lot of quilting done this month, I did finish my One Monthly Goal, which was my Solstice Panel quilt plus three secret projects for Island Batik which I will be able to show you in the fall.

I also completed my April Island Batik Challenge and a table topper sample for my Windmills Table runner pattern.  I did start two shop samples and have been working on that custom baby quilt, but those should be easily completed in May.  Here's the wrap up for the month for my PHD in 2020:
I'm super happy with my progress, and I'm on track to finish!  Thanks, Gail for the encouragement and giving us some great tools for making progress on getting these projects finished! Make sure you check out her May Report and see how the rest of us are doing, too!
