I thought that for my Best of 2019 post I would like to share my favorite projects of this year. In no particular order here they are:
Making this dress for my oldest daughter's wedding is definitely on my list even though it's not a quilt! It was fun to test my dress making chops and see if they were still up to snuff! You can read about the wedding and our trip to Boston here...Welcome Home.
Seashore Splendor was definitely one of my favorites this year as well. I think it was lots of fun to design and sew this quilt, and I'm really happy with the end result! The patterns will be available for free for just a few more days, then I will make them paid patterns. You can see the final post here...Assembly Instructions. This series definitely got a lot of views and comments on my blog, in fact if I based my picks on views, 4 out of 5 would have been from this quilt!
The Stepping Stones Sampler is on my list as well. This was made as and Island Batik Ambassador challenge in August and was part of the Beat the Heat Blog Hop. I'm getting ready to start a quilt along for this pattern! Click the link in the sidebar to sign up - we'll be starting with instructions for choosing fabric for your quilt on the 1st so it's the perfect time to jump in and have fun making this sampler quilt!
Making this Quilt of Valor was also a highlight of my year. It was very nice of Island Batik to provide the fabric for this project, and I have plans for presenting it soon! Here is my post from the Blog hop.
This scrappy string quilt was a favorite finish as well! I love playing in my scraps and plan on doing more of that in 2020 for sure! This one was also made for a blog hop - you can see my All About Strings post and see more about this fun quilt.
I finished a lot of quilts in 2019, haven't counted them all up yet, but I'm sure I made at least 30 quilts this year, and two of them were king size, so it was a great year for productivity! I'm planning on at least as many next year so I'll have plenty to blog about! Thanks for following along on my quilting and sewing adventures. I have a couple more blog posts to write before the year ends, so we are not done yet, either!
