Fractured Bargello Jacket

I haven't had much time to work on my June Island Batik ambassador project this month until this weekend.  I love the rainbow of fabrics I chose for the Bargello strips, and I am so happy with the Blueberry Paisley Dot fabric for the fracture lines!  I was a little worried that it wouldn't be dark enough but it's perfect for those little strips.
I managed to get all four pieces sewn and am almost ready to put it all together!  This is going to be a beautiful and fun jacket when it is finished.

Last week was a fun one with my daughter visiting with her three children!  It was a lot of fun doing the Grandma thing and playing with them, teaching a bit of sewing (my oldest grandson loved using the sewing machine, though he was a little worried about getting his fingers too close to that needle!) and just being able to spend some time with all of them.  We had some great outings - this one was a foggy trip to the beach!

In between the fun with the grand kids I altered dresses for a Miss Oregon Contestant.  I can't wait to see how it goes for her - she had some lovely dresses, including this stunner from Sherri Hill:

This week, I need to get out my planner and see what I need to schedule in.  I've been slacking on that, just living out of my head because it was frightening to see all the deadlines that were upon me!  Now that I've gotten the big ones done and out I want to get my time organized so I can accomplish some things that are on my personal list as well!

Just a quick note about the Snail's Trail block from two weeks ago.   Denise spotted a small error, which I've corrected.  I stated to cut a 4 1/4 inch triangle, and should have said square.  I hope that didn't confuse any of you too badly!  I appreciate her catching that error and letting me know so I can correct it - Denise is a fellow Island Batik Ambassador and she blogs at For the Love of Geese - check out her blog and see what she's been up to!

So - what is my plan for today?  I want to get this square finished up into a pillow sham.
And I need to sew more triangles for my Scrappy Challenge project for the Quiltsy Team:
I'm really loving how all these triangles look together! I just have a dress to hem, then the rest of the day is quilting...makes me happy!  Hope you had a  good Monday quilting, too :)

Thank you for the link. The stars for the pillow sham are stunning, love them. And if I haven't said it lately, thank you for the QAL. I've wanted to do a Snails Trail for a while so I was pleased that was one (or three or four) of the blocks. This is going to be one of my favorite quilts. If you package the pattern it will be a good seller.
