It was a quiet week this week, which made it a great week for quilting! I finished two shop samples for Threads That bind, which was really fun!
This is the second one, I'll have to remember to take a picture of the first one nest time I go in the shop! This one is so fun and bright!
I'm on track with my Mini sampler for the August Island Batik challenge, so that's good! I'll be finishing this up quickly so I can post it!
I'm having a blast with the Missouri Star Christmas Templates! There is one more week to enter to win the extra set I received, so you need to go enter on my Instagram feed. Or use my Missouri Star Affiliate link to buy one now! So many fun options with these great templates.
Yesterday a friend and I spent the afternoon cutting up my remaining upholstery samples to make zipper bags for our Ladies Retreat in September! I am so thrilled to be able to use up this fabric and get it out of my sewing room - I had quite a collection from the time when I was doing a lot of home interior sewing and was given all the sample books. So glad I bought a bag of zippers a while back for this project, we had a ton of fun matching up zippers with fabric and lining...now for the sewing! The ladies are going to love these!
We have had a couple of cooler rainy days, but today the sun is shining and it's looking like summer again, though you can feel the weather shifting...fall is coming! That makes me want to pull out my fall fabrics and start making things that will be cozy and warm for the cooler nights. I'll hold off for another week, but come September, I will be all about the fall projects! Are you ready for fall, too?
