Here we are on day 4 already! This block is a good one, I think you'll have fun with it!
Cutting for this block is pretty simple, everything except the first cut can be done using strips.4 inch block: Cut a 1 1/2 square of your light fabric. From medium fabric, use a 1 inch strip and cut two 1 1/2 inch rectangles, two 2 1/2 inch rectangles and two 3 1/2 inch rectangles. From your dark fabric cut two 2 1/2, two 3 1/2 and two 4 1/2 inch rectangles from a 1 inch strip.
6 inch block: Cut a 2 inch square of your light fabric. From medium fabric, use a 1 1/4 inch strip and cut two 2 inch squares, two 3 1/2 inch rectangles and two 5 inch rectangles. From dark fabric, cut two 3 1/2 inch, two 5 inch rectangles, and two 6 1/2 inch rectangles from a 1 1/4 inch strip.
Start out by sewing the two smallest medium strips to the sides of the light center square.
Next, sew the two smallest dark strip to the opposite sides of the square.
Continue on with the next size strips of medium.
And the next size strip of dark!
Add the last size of medium,
And you have your block finished!
Watch me sew my four inch block in this video if you like!
Have a great Friday!

Hi Pam, I'm enjoying the quilt-along again this year! Under the 6" directions for today, I'm assuming you mean rectangles instead of squares. 😊
