Block 29 - this block is a simple one and introduces our final unit - a quarter square triangle. Bias edges ahead, but just be cautious of stretching and you will be just fine!
Cutting instructions:For 6 inch
block, cut one 4 ¼ inch square of dark and background (cut in half diagonally
both ways), and two 3 7/8 inch squares of medium (cut in half diagonally).
Sew all of the small triangles in pairs along the short side - you will want to sew them all in the same direction. Sew with the background triangle on the bottom and the dark on the top, and sew from the right angle to the tip. Carefully press seam to the dark fabric, taking care not to stretch out those bias edges!
Now, sew these to the light half square triangles. Press seams to the light triangle side.
Arrange to form a pinwheel with the background pieces toward the outside of the block.
Sew together, carefully nesting the seams in the center - what a gorgeous block!
Tomorrow we'll make our final block! I'm so excited - I'm really loving how all my blocks look together and can't wait for the finish!
