A Slothful Day

Not really, but I couldn't resist the pun!  I decided to work on making a sloth block every Sunday so I can finish that top by the end of the month for my OMG.

I completed the one on the right today, so that puts me at halfway done already!  I do love them, they are super cute, but each one takes a good three hours plus to cut out and sew together.  (The pattern is Sleepy Sloth by Elizabeth Hartman)  I might have to make a fifth block in baby girl colors for a baby version.  We'll see!

In contrast, this little gem took about 15 minutes to make!  It's block 14 for the Sewcialites Quilt Along. I'm happy that I'm all caught up with this project, and back to looking forward to the new blocks each week!

I found a nice weekly prayer journal and bought copies for all five daughters.  I hope they are enjoying it as much as I am.  This is a good time to be a little introspective and think about how we live our lives.  I have to admit I'm struggling a bit lately to be positive and keep a good outlook.  I think I might stay away from the news and hunker down in my sewing room this week - I have plenty of projects to keep me busy!
