Quilting, Quilting, Quilting

That is what I am doing.  And I can't show you what it looks like, but it is very awesome, and I really would love to talk about it!

So instead I'll show you another medallion quilt. This was another round robin quilt made with my guild.  I did this mockup for a final border on the project, but I ended up doing something much simpler.

The tricky thing about working on a medallion quit is that as you make each border you have to add more units!  There were a lot of half square triangles in the final border - and you can see that I tend to like to make a fancy star for my center square.

You can read my blog post about this Mariner's Compass Log Cabin if you'd like to see more of the details.

Have you ever made a round robin quilt?  They really are fun!

Such a beautiful quilt. I love the mockup borders but understand why you went a different direction. Having worked on a round robin with our guild right before COVID, I know about how the addition of each round makes the quilt so much bigger! Can't wait to see what you aren't sharing right now!
