Welcome to the 2021 My Stitching Resolution Blog Hop!
Carla came up with a really fun and simple theme for this hop - just to share our Quilting Resolutin for the year. Sooo...
My Quilting Resolution is to make at least four scrap quilts this year! I have a ton of scraps and it's time to make them into something. I figure if I plan on making one scrap quilt a quarter at least I might make a dent in the piles, bins and baskets of leftover stuff. If you know what I mean!
And maybe that will help get my sewing room a little decluttered as well.
Let's see what kind of resolutions the rest of the participants are making today!

Hi Pamela, yep scraps are on my list of Resolutions to try and get done!!! I hope you get to play with your scrap stash. Have a wonderful 2021. Hugs & Love Susie xx
ReplyDeleteFour scrap quilts look manageable, and they are great resoulutions! They don't need to be big, and if they are reversible, you will use even more scraps ;)
ReplyDeleteFour scrap quilts are totally doable. But beware the scrap bunnies come out at night and refill the scrap boxes, at least that what it seems like at my place.
ReplyDeleteFour quilts is doable - select quick blocks that use the most fabric size other wise you create more scraps - you will glide right thru them.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to see everyone has scrap and UFO problems :-)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your scrap quilts!
Scrap quilts are so fun!
ReplyDeleteI really don't need a resolution for scrappy quilts, I prefer them over new matchy, matchy ones. It truly is my favorite way to make quilts. I receive all my friend's scraps and I love them!!!! Of course, storage can be a bit of a problem... lol Use up your lovely scraps in 2021 and have a Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteGreat goals! I need to make that resolution too, and start getting rid of some of my scraps! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteScrappy quilts are my favourite...I will look forward to seeing yours.
ReplyDeleteSound like I need to join you. My scrap boxes are over flowing again. Good luck.
ReplyDelete4 scrap quilts ... that sounds very do-able! I'm always working on one with leaders and enders, but often they take more than a year to make!
ReplyDeleteAnyhow ... I like your idea ... and yes, it MIGHT help to declutter your area !
Happy Quilting! :-)
Those bins look a lot like the ones at my house. Let's hope 2021 gives us some sewing mojo to get those bins emptied! Happy New Year, Pamela!
ReplyDeleteMy New Year Resolution is to make a quilt for each of my kids, nephews, nieces, and siblings. That is a total of 12 quilts. I want to make them something they will love so I am going to let them select the pattern and the fabric choice. Not my favorite part as I like having control but I will love working with them and making them happy.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the scrap quilts.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I love scrap quilts.
ReplyDeleteTo FMQ at least 6 quilt tops that have moved into my guest room!
ReplyDeleteGreat goals for 2021! I'm seeing a lot of posts about organize, use the scraps, and finish the UFO's. Quilters seem to have a LOT in common. :O)
ReplyDeleteMany are going to be using up those scraps! I need to do that as well...and buy new fabric!! LOL
ReplyDeleteI also love scrap quilts. Hope you get many finished in 2021.
ReplyDeleteI love your resolution, but I feel compelled to tell you, that making scrap quilts seems to only make those crazy scraps multiply. Kinda like those Tribbles on Star Trek! hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
That sounds like a fabulous plan!!
ReplyDeletePamela your goal of making 4 quilts is not only doable, but inspiring. I’m glad I’m not the only one with scraps to tame/use. I was good and have 90% of them precursors into my pizza boxes (for squares and triangles) and bins for strips and strings so it’s easier to find when I need scrappy pieces. I need to make more this year, too. Cheering you on from here. 🥳 Carol
ReplyDeleteI have lots of scraps and will be making several scrappy quilts in 2021. Good luck in getting you scraps under control.
ReplyDeleteGreat resolution! Best of luck in 2021.
ReplyDeleteWell that sounds like a very reasonable goal. Breaking it down to one a quarter is a great idea. I have more than enough scraps at my house so please skip me in your drawing.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
Sounds like a great plan! Good luck with your resolution.
ReplyDeleteI have several started quilt projects that I need to finish. First off is to organize my sewing area and then get back to work on those UFO's.
