Still Piecing the Dear Jane!

I've been working along at geting the border triangles for the Dear (Crazy) Jane quilt done, and am down to the final border, which is the left side.  So 13 triangles and the final corner kite, which is the signature block for the quilt.  Can I get them all done this week?  We'll see!

This one came out really well - I was very much encouraged after the crooked one before it!

And this one didn't give me any trouble either.  I appliqued the bottom piece because it was the easier option!

This one was a little tricky, and I had to remake one of the sections because keeping track of the color placement was hard to keep up with.
An applique block.  I did a little internet research to figure out the best way to approach this one, and I am really happy with the results.

This is the last one from the bottom row - I am really finding that I enjoy using strip piecing to make those diamonds.  The angles are tricky, but they really are quite do-able!

This is the corner "kite" that I made yesterday.  I was working from the line drawing and made the bottom star backwards (blue star on a white background) so I had to remake that.  Those little triangles in the large star are only 3/8 of an inch!  Good thing that I actually enjoy tiny piecing!  Love how this one came out!

This corner "kite" was my project for today.  More tiny triangles for the center, that block is 1 3/4 inches finished.  Crazy!

I also did some machine quilting today - I got the pieced part of my Island Batik Ambassador challenge for Otober quilted and am ready to work on the fun thread painting part!
Here's a sneak peek!  I'm loving these gorgeous Peacock Galore fabrics!  Designed by Claudia Pfiel for Island Batik - they just glow on the black background.  So tomorrow I'll take a deep breath and get going!

Wish me luck, I 'm a little nervous about adding the quilting, but I think it's going to look really good if I can pull off my plan...I tend to like to keep the quilting in the background, so this is really going to be a test for me!
