We are still here, and just fine. The closest fire to us is getting under control and the cooler weather and humidy has helped our area. The smoke was more tolerable yesterday, but the wind must have shifted again because we are in the hazardous range again today. At least the cooler temperature makes keeping the windows shut easy, but my eyes can sure feel the added smoke in the air.
In between keeping updated on the fires status, I've been working on getting a quilt finished for a friend/customer. It's a fun quilt with quarter circles in a variety of colors of batik fabric. I decided to quilt the background of the circles in a meander, then did an echo in the circles. I chose a variegated brown for the background and a variegated pastel in the circles and border. It came out really well!

Blog Hop Round-Up Week 2 and Giveaway
I can't wait to see what bags get featured! I've been working on my bag and I'm really enjoying the pattern and fabrics I am using! The colors are a bit off because of the smoke outside, but this way you'll be surprised when I post the finished bag!

I haven't participated in a block of the month. I bet it's fun though. Enjoy your day! angielovesgary2 atgmail dotcom
Yes, I have participated in a BOM.
I've done a few of them. Most give you plenty of fabric each month and are lots of fun! However the one I'm doing now has been a different case. Very short of fabric, not enough sent for that month and have to wait for the next month to get it and so on. I know this one was the first from this place so I am unsure if I will do another one from them.
I haven't participated in a BOM although I'd like to. I work from home and some months are so busy I don't have a change to sew and I've worried I may fall too far behind. I do sometimes do a BOM I like once it's all finished up in my own time.
I have done about 3 BOMs, but I don't like them. After the first one, I just bought the entire pattern and made the quilt in a month. I can't stay focused on doing only one block a month, lol!
Stay safe over there! That thick blanket of smoke is here in Idaho but the bulk of it is expected here tonight.
Yes, I have participated in BOM programs. I find these projects lots of fun.
I've done several BOM programs, some at a LQS and others online. They are fun and there are challenging ones out there so I can up my game.
Yes, I have participated in 2 Block of the Months. Both were free from Craftsy (back in the day). I finished the blocks but have not made them into quilt tops. But I hope to do that this year. Making masks for neighbors, friends, and family has slowed my quilt making, but I have a list of things that I hope to get back to soon.
i love boms so much i usually do more than 1 at a time
I have done a block of the month--it was featured in McCall's Quilting.
Absolutely yes and I'm currently watching my new BOM from Australia make it's way to me in Washington State.
Yes I have participated in a BOM program. I did enjoy the 3 that I’ve done. I don’t do many because I really enjoy picking my own fabrics.
