June Mini Madness - Block 7 Single Irish Chain

Today's Block is a Single Irish Chain.  There are lots of pieces in this litle block, but it's actually quite easy to sew - just take your time and be patient!

First, lets do the cutting.  

For 3 inch block, cut one 1 ½ inch square and eight 1 inch squares of your background.  From Red cut four 1 x 2 ½ inch rectangles and four 1 x 2 ½ inch rectangles.

For 6 inch block, cut one 2 ½ inch square and eight 1 ½ inch squares of your background.  From red cut four 1 ½ x 2 ½ inch rectangles and four 1 ½ x 4 ½ inch rectangles.

Next, lay out all of your pieces to get prepared for sewing.

Sew the center patches into a simple (but small) nine patch unit.

Next repeat and sew the larger units in the same manner!  The pieces are small, so you need to be patient, but you can do this!
