June Mini Madness: Block 24

Good morning, are you ready for Block 24?  This is an Economy Block.  This is like the Diamond in the Square block, but with another round of triangles.

This time we will be cutting the pieces to size and sewing the block.

For a 3 inch block cut one 2 inch square and two 2 3/8 inches squares (cut in half diagonally) from your background fabric.  Cut one 2 3/4 inch square of blue (cut in half diagonally both ways) to make four triangles.

For a 6 inch block cut one 3 ½ inch square and two 3 7/8 inches squares (cut in half diagonally) from your background fabric.  Cut one 4 ¼ inch square of blue (cut in half diagonally both ways) to make four triangles.

Match up the center of the long side of the triangles with the center of the square.  Sew on all four triangles, the trim dog ears.  Add the large background triangles and you are finished
