For a 6 inch block cut two 3 ¼ inches, and two 2 7/8 squares
(cut in half diagonally) of blue. Cut two squares 3 ¼ inches, two 2 7/8 squares
(cut in half diagonally) and one 2 ½ square background.
Sew four half square triangle units using the triangles. Make four quarter square triangle units from the large squares (if you prefer you can cut these squares in half both ways diagonally to sew your units). For the 3 inch blocks, I recommend trimming the seam allowances down to 3/16 of an inch after sewing to reduce bulk.
Press seams toward corners of block.
This is a tricky one, but think of how you are growing you piecing skills! Notice in my facebook video that I reversed the colors - well, it looks just fine that way as well - I'm going to keep it as is!
Have a great Monday! Tomorrow I have an easier block for you, just so you know!
