Lesson 4 Stepping Stones Sampler Quilt

How are you all doing with the half square triangles?  Are you ready to work on more blocks?  With this lesson we'll be putting together our four corner blocks. 

These are the pieces for Mosaic block one. Since I used two different fabrics for my medium, I placed one in the corners of the block, and the other by the pinwheel.  Laying them out is a bit tricky, so take your time and make sure everything is placed correctly.

If you like, you can sew the center pinwheels first.  Match up those points carefully!  This is the center of block 4.

Then sew the side triangles in pairs.

And they are ready to sew into the block (these are for mosaic block four).

Now this one is ready for sewing!

You'll definitely sew the center triangles together at the start of working on Block 2, because the side units are flying geese from lesson two.

And finally, block 3.

This one uses the large square.

This is how my blocks came out with two medium fabrics.  If you are going by the pattern and using one medium fabric and your main fabric, they will look like this.
