Today's prompt for the Blog Writing Challenge is....Machine!
Here is my number one machine. This is my second Juki, I upgraded my TL98e to the 2001qi. I do a whole lot of sewing on this machine, not just quilting, but doing alterations, and home decor sewing as well. It's great for hemming jeans, with plenty of power to get through all those layers! I'm currently quilting a king size quilt using this machine. There's a lot of quilt to puddle up in the arm, but enough room to get the job done! I've been eyeballing the Juki Miyabi machine, it's probably out of my budget range at this time, but it really looks like a dream machine! The one thing I really would like to do is fix my sewing table so that the insert comes around the front and the machine can sit further back. Guess I'll have to figure out how to do it, instead of just talking about it!
I also own a small brother machine and a serger, but my Juki sees most of the action. I also have my very first sewing machine - a Kenmore that I purchased with money from working my first job in 1979. I sewed my wedding gown on that machine, made dresses for my baby girls, made many a quilt, and even learned to free motion quilt on that machine! It still works, but is in need of a new foot pedal as they old one has a short in it. I think I'll keep that one forever, so many memories!
Are you brand loyal with your machines? I think a lot of us are!

Have you tried placing the Juki on a quilt frame? If you haven't you are in for a treat. Right after I purchased my Juki I got a Hinterberg frame and a Grace speed regulator. Soon it didn't have enough throat space and I had to get a longarm.
