New Roof!

This is happening at my house this week.  The cat is hiding.  I'm glad to go to the quilt shop to work for a few hours because it is noisy here!  But it will be worth it :)  I might have finished pictures tomorrow.  These guys are speedy!!!

It's going to be a big change, and we should not have to ever do this again.  Thank goodness!

In other news I should have a finish on my Island batik challenge for April soon as well- love using the Accuquilt GO!  It makes me speedy, too:

Just two passes and I had a bunch of 2 1/2 inch squares for cornerstones!  So amazing!  I was excited to finally use the 2 1/2 strip die.  I am itching to try making some angled cuts in the future, I love Lone Star quilts, so there may be one in my near future using this die.

Hope your day is a bit quieter than mine, and that you get some time to create beauty....it makes all the chaos worth it!

It is amazing how expensive a roof is so it's a good thing they last a long time! You'll be so happy to have this done! Barring another hurricane, we shouldn't have to replace our roof either...something to be thankful for! I don't blame the cat for hiding! I would, too!

Sounds like the quilt shop is a perfect hangout during this. It is a noisy event!

I chuckled when you said that this should be your last new roof. Our house is about 15 years old and is on its 3rd new roof. Lets just say we live in tornado valley. (in Tuscaloosa, AL)
