Happy weekend, and the start of Quilt Run 101

I promised you a reveal for the block I designed for Quilt Run 101, so here it is!

The theme was Coastal Landmarks, and we chose to feature Shore Acres State Park.  This time of year is the best time to go see the waves crashing!

I also wanted to feature the garden there, the flowers and various plantings are so pretty !  I could have added so many more details, but didn't want to complicate things too much!   I'm pretty happy with the results, and we've been selling kits like hotcakes so far!  I might consider expanding the pattern to make a whole quilt someday, I have so many ideas!

Anyway - the next couple of days I'll be working at the shop, so not much sewing going on!  I did make a few blocks for Alice's Wonderland.  I'm up to 34, so 1/3 of the way through! I've been enjoying working at it in little spurts.  No rush, and that's the way I like it!  I'm continuing to work on downsizing some of the stuff in my sewing room.  One sack of donations and three finished projects for other people this week are leaving tomorrow!  I'm happy with slow and easy progress. Hope your goals are happening, too!
