Are you ready for the fourth week of our Quilt Along? There are some great classic blocks this week, starting with today's block, Ohio Star!
Here is my 3 inch quilt, halfway done!
Goodbyes are always hard, as always. Our visit with our kids wasn't long enough, but it was time to get on the road again, we had a lot more ahead of us! We headed out of Thompson's Station and drove North headed toward a trip to the Ark Encounter in Kentucky! See how my Two by Two block from yesterday ties in?
Someday we'll come back and explore this area more!
More buildings!
The Cumberland River and Nashville skyline - beautiful!
We were excited to get to our destination, we had been looking forward to this part of our trip!
The Ark Encounter did not disappoint, other than we wish we could have spent more time there! I took hundreds of pictures while we went through it, and toward the end we were really rushing to get through before closing time.
It's so huge! As you can see, our shadows were getting long, and the park was closing, so it was time to head for our stop for the night in Florence, KY - just north of Cinicinnati. Not too far from Ohio, inspiring the Ohio Star block for today!
The cute little 3 inch version.
The Six inch block - directional fabrics work great for this one!
And the nine inch block, with another color way of the that cute luggage fabric in the center!
If you would like a little help with your quarter square triangles, I wrote a post (including a video) of making this unit when I did my Quilter's Recipe Box Quilt Along.
