Happy New Year 2023!

I'm always excited for the start of a New Year, the possibilities and fresh start definitely energize me!  So many things I want to accomplish and experience - it's hard to pace myself and not start all the new projects in the first week of the year!  And it's definitely encouraging that I had to search to find 12 UFO's to put on my list this year!  To actually be this close to not having any partially finished quilts begging for attention is a heady thought that makes me smile.

I'm enjoying working on the Bonnie Hunter mystery for this year - Chilhowie.  I'm curious to see where she is going with this design!

The colors are so cheerful!  I've been keeping up with each week's steps, so that's been fun.  I'm almost done with this week already.

I'm thinking we'll be adding sashing strips between these blocks next.  It will be interesting to see what happens!

I'm also doing a good job of keeping up on the Sewcialites2 Quilt along.  Oops, I didn't notice my problem on this block until just now!  Guess I'll fix that tomorrow and make this week's block while I'm at it!  Looks like it's going to be a busy couple of weeks for me, but I'm going to make sure to block out some quilting time every day - these projects are not going to sew themselves!

I wish you a happy new year, and hope that you are carving out some time for yourself as well!

Keeping up with those QALs is always so hard - you are doing a great job.
