I've been a bit busy, and totally missed posting the last part of the Row by Row blog hop with Island Batik - so sorry! Check out the end of Week 3 post and the end of Row by Row blog hop to see all the incredible quilts produced by my fellow Island Batik Ambassadors. I also need to draw a winner for my giveaway! So here goes....congrats to Verna! I sent you an email, so get back to me and I'll send you that packet of fabric! What a great hop it was! I'll recap on Monday for you all, but for now I wanto show you what I've been working on!
I've spent the last few weeks working on some custom orders. One of them was for a quilt made with my Crossflight pattern. I hadn't done any paper piecing for a while, so it was fun to make this! It was a gift, so I hope the recipient enjoyed it.
I made a good try at finishing up the farmers wife quilt, but ran out of time! I think I have about 25 blocks left to finish. I'm going to continue working on this - in fact I even ordered the backing for it, so I think that shows my determination to get this over the finish line! It's a Christmas quilt, so there's plenty of time, right?
Scamper likes to commandeer my lap in the evenings. I think he likes my new lap quilt as much as I do! The wool batting makes it nice and cozy, which has been nice on these recent cold nights.
My last project this month is this custom order. This quilt was commissioned by a father for his daughter - I think the heart design will delight both of them! I'll hopefully have this finished by the end of the month. Then we will see what March will bring! We are packing up to go away for a night, which I am looking forward to very much. No cooking for a couple days, and we plan on going to see Death on the Nile, so it will be a great getaway - I love Agatha Christie mysteries! Hope you have a happy weekend and that your projects are getting finished as well!
That heart quilt is gorgeous.
