What a week!

I was really happy to be asked to go up to Washington for a week to help Dog-sit for my daughter while she and her family took a fun birthday trip to Disney World!  It meant taking a week off from my usual activities, but going up with another daughter and grand-daughter to spend a week with a cute dog sounded like a great opportunity to relax and enjoy some fun time while helping out.

Here is Portland, laying on the quit I gave her Mama - isn't she a cutie pie?  She is a golden doodle, and is a fun goofy dog.  She loved Juliette, and we had a lot of fun with her.  She loves to snuggle on the couch, play tug of war with a bone, and take walks!

This is me with Juliette!  I laughingly call her the monster baby - she loves to roar and bite and zoom through the house in her walker!  She'll be one year old in two weeks, has six teeth and a big personality!  You have to be quick to take a picture because she is always on the move, and her favorite thing is to grab the phone and try to bite it!

This is Juliette with her momma - Catie.  Nap time - and she is all about looking at me instead of snuggling in for a sleep!  Needless to say, I didn't get much done last week, but it was well worth it!

We mostly stayed at home, but did take a trip to a park for swinging!  She had a fun time, and saw some girls practicing on their long boards - she was fascinated, and they thought she was the cutest thing ever.  So, now I am back at home and ready to get a fun week started!

Tammy Silvers of Tamarinis has put together a fun virtual Blog hop with her new fabric line by Island Batik!  The colors and designs are so much fun in this line, I think you are going to see some awesome quilts!  I've been enjoying playing with them in EQ8 and can't wait to share them with you on Tuesday.  Make sure you check out all the other designers and see the possibilities!

I'll also be showing you my Switchback bag that I made as my Island Batik challenge in September - it was super handy for my trip!

Here's a teaser for you - I love the handy pockets!

Have a happy Sunday :)

Sounds like the best week ever! Good for you and for all who were recipients of you taking the time to help.

I saw your switchback bag and it's so cool. I want a golden doodle altho my standard poodle is enough dog for us! He has a big personality too! That baby is about to go walkabout soon then try to keep up with her! I was a nanny and people would say is Kathryn walking? NO I said, and I'm not encouraging it!
