The big excitement for today was that we saw the sun for a few hours this afternoon, and beautiful blue skies! After a week of smoke and fog, it really lifted my spirits to see the sun come out!
I got 25 of these blocks done over the weekend. There was some ripping involved in all those triangles.
This morning I finished up 9 of these blocks. These colors are more true in this picture, you can tell the light was better today! Now I just have to cut the setting triangles and I can sew all my blocks and see how they play together!
Here is my fabric pull for the Mini Maker Case Sew Along! I've been petting these pretty Tula Pink Homemade fabrics for the last few months, trying to figure out what to make with them, so I am super happy to have found a project. I'm not sure whether I'll use the green zipper or the orange one yet. The Sew Along is just getting started, so you can definitely jump in and participate. I plan on getting my fabrics cut tomorrow. So many fires are still burning out here on the west coast, keep all the firefighters in your prayers. They are working so hard to try to help. Thanks for all the encouragement and good wishes sent my way, it really did boost my spirits. I'm so grateful that we are fine and my family is all fine, but my heart goes out to all the loss that people are suffering.

What a difference in the photos with some sunshine/blue skies! Will this be 1 of your patterns? Hope to tackle the Mini Maker SAL today! Crossing my fingers...
So glad you have blue skies. I think some of the smoke has reached the east coast today...what a sad and strange year in so many ways.
I hear Oregon might get some rain at the end of this week. Will pray for that small help. Or snow! This smoke is insane.
Please tell me what size your blocks are. Keep safe
