May Wrap-up, PHD in 2020 report and OMG for June

I think it will be easier if I keep the June Mini Madness posts separate, so I suppose I'll have some days when I write two blog posts so I can keep up with my other projects and commitments.  Oh, well!  Hope you don't get too tired of me :)
I got my One Monthly Goal finished for last month, but forgot to link up...(so sad!).  This is Chicken Salad, which was my original quilt that I designed for my Stepping Stones Sampler.  It is so bright and fun!

And speaking of bright and fun, this is the project drawn for this months UFO challenge - which will me my OMG for June! I plan on working on three blocks a week and doing ruler work on them.  I actually pulled this quilt out last week and basted it, so I'm ready to get started right away, isn't that terrific?  It's going to be fun!  Come join the party and set a goal for yourself!

Moving onward...May was a pretty darn productive month for me.  I finished my Island Batik challenge, which was a Roman Shade made out of beautiful Northern Lights fabric.
I pulled out scraps and made a table runner and wallhanging  from these gorgeous yellow and blue fabrics:
I finished this UFO that was hiding under my Chicken salad top:

Quilted this top that was returned to me from the quilt shop - it was a sample I made for a class.

And made another yellow and blue quilt, but I'm not showing you that one yet...I'm saving it for the Sewing Sunshine hop later this month.

So a very prolific May for me.  My UFO report is looking good.  I've finished a couple extra so far, and have finished every project I've started so far!  Woohoo!  Here's a look at what I've done so far this year:
I admit that May felt very emotional and difficult, so I think I must have been sewing to relieve the stress.  I guess that finishing projects helps to make the stress go away.  At least it makes me pretty happy to cross them off my list, and that's a good thing!

Linking up with Gail for PHD in 2020 June 1 report  If you think I've been productive, you need to check out her report, she's finished 12 UFO's already!

One final piece of unfinished business - the winner of my giveaway for the Island Batik blog hop this month was Maryellen McAuliffe of Mary Mack Made Mine.  Maryellen, your bundle of strips and border fabric are on their way to you!  Thanks to everyone for entering my giveaway, I hope everyone that has a Bargello quilt on their list will be inspired to try one soon.

Yeah, Pam!!! You are doing fantastic on your PHD in 2020!!! Way to go!

Your quilts are all so pretty! But I especially like your Roman shade! Of course, the Island Batik fabrics help make the shade shine!

Happy Quilting! :-)
