June Mini Madness: Block 13 Shoo Fly

Lets take the same triangles and squares and rearrange them one more time - today's block will be the classic Shoo Fly block!

For a 3 inch block, cut two 1 7/8 squares (cut in half diagonally) and one 1 ½ square of blue.  Cut two 1 7/8 (cut in half diagonally) and four 1 ½ inch squares of background fabric.

For a 6 inch block, cut two 2 7/8 squares (cut in half diagonally) and one 2 ½ square of blue.  Cut two 2 7/8 (cut in half diagonally) and four 2 ½ inch squares of background fabric.

Sew your blue/white half square triangle units, then turn the triangles with the corners in toward the center square and sew them together!

I think it's really fun at how you can get so many variations of blocks just by using the same units and rearranging them!  Have a wonderful Saturday, and I'll see you tomorrow with our 14th block and a new giveaway!
