February block for 2020 Color Challenge

I didn't have to go to work this morning, so I took the opportunity to do some cleaning up in my sewing room, plus I made the February block for Patterns by Jen's 2020 Color Challenge
Isn't this pretty?  I am loving doing my blocks with a black background!  I did a lot of tidying up in my Island Batik scraps while finding just the right light aqua for my block.  This block had a lot of triangles in it.  When you are making triangles out of squares by sewing on both sides of a drawn line, I like to leave them all stitched together, you can really zoom through sewing the second line this way!
The great thing about using this method is that your triangles are all perfectly sized after you trim them up, so they sew together perfectly!  I loved how all the points matched in my finished block!

If you want to join in, go visit Jen's post.  You'll find all the information you need there.  So fun!

And don't forget to check out the posts for the Log Cabin Blog Hop today featuring the Bloomer collection.  They are absolutely wonderful!
