My Favorite Quilt Block Blog Hop

This week is another great blog hop - this one is hosted by Carla of Creatin' in the Sticks (a fellow Island Batik Ambassador and Blog Hop Hostess extraordinaire!)  All we have to do is share with you our favorite quilt block.  Well, for me that is a harder task than you would guess - it's like choosing your favorite child!  So, what I choose to say is that my favorite block is the one I am currently working on...is that cheating?

Right now I am playing in my stash of fall fabrics and planning on making a fun fall quilt out of all those lovely scraps.  I played around in EQ8 and designed this block for the fun of it!

Shall I put them on point?
Or set them straight?  I can't decide!  I guess I'll wait until I'm done making blocks and then figure it out!  Now that I'm done sorting and pressing, its time to start cutting and sewing...

If you'd like to make your own block here is the pattern - you can get it free on payhip this week!

Another favorite of mine as well! Perfect quilt block for the beginning of Fall. Your quilt is so pretty! I think I like the straight version best. And thank you for the pattern.

Beautiful block and almost time for fall!

A great block is always one that is enjoyed while making, especially if using up treasured scraps! Your block reminds me of a bear claw and that reminds me of fall too, when bears are fueling up for a season of heavy sleep.

Great layout for the bearpaw block! Is this a clue as to what Accuquilt die you got??? LOL!! Can't wait to see!

That is not cheating. =) It's a beautiful block. Thank you for the pattern. I can see using this one. I like both settings, but all things being equal, I think I like the straight set better.
