Quiltsy Cares - Christmas All Year Block 1 - and Quilt Guild Night

Yesterday my Etsy team started our annual month of featuring the quilts and handmade items we make for charity - a month of Quiltsy team members making the world a little warmer!  Today is the day that my donation is featured.  I chose to donate a quilt to our local CASA program.  These quilts go to children in foster homes.  You can see more about my donation HERE.

After releasing my second Christmas All Year block, I realized that I never put the first block on my blog!  Oops!  Here it is:

Looks pretty tricky, but if you look close, you will see that it's all half square triangles.  The complete pattern for the quilt is now available on Etsy.

Lastly, I had a pleasant evening at the Coos Sand 'N Sea Quilt guild meeting.  Our program was very fun, it was on Reduce, Re-use and Recycle.  We used our brand new powerpoint projector for the first time, and enjoyed watching Bonnie Hunter debone a man's shirt.  If you haven't seen the video, it's a hoot!

I didn't think I had a very productive month, but when I got my quilts out for show and tell I realized I had gotten a lot more done than I thought.  I had my Island Batik Mini Love Challenge, (and everyone was pleased that I was going to be an Island Batik Ambassador again),
I showed this sample for a beginner's class I am teaching this month.

I also shared my finished owl quilt - you'll be seeing more of this later.
I think they enjoyed hearing about my Project Quilting project as well!  I hope some of them will consider playing along as well.
And here I am in the sewing room, lots of pattern writing needs to happen this week.  Seems like I'm either on the computer or sewing like mad, but I'm loving it!

Here's to a happy March - it's National Quilting Month - so let's whoop it up and get quilting!

  1. Hi Pamela. I signed up for your newsletter yesterday and you did send me the first Christmas block. I wanted to thank you for that. I was sick for about three weeks in January so I thought I had missed your post during this time. I am glad that I will now be able to sew along with you. Thanks again.

  2. Hi Ms. Pamela,

I subscribed to your monthly newsletter, and in your first email I received the link for the January block. I have not received anything for February. Can you verify that I am still enrolled?

    Thank you in advance,

    Minie R.
